The Genesis of an Ambition (2015)

The story of Alpha Engineering began in the classrooms of the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Douala, where four young engineers—Aser Tiam, Crispo Kenne, Stéphane Talla, and Arsène Talla—were united by a shared vision: to place their technical expertise at the service of Cameroon’s industrial development.

Through regular brainstorming sessions, they refined their ideas and aspirations. It was during one of these meetings that Arsène Talla introduced the concept of the “Alpha Service” project—an ambitious initiative aimed at creating a high-performance engineering firm built on the four fundamental pillars of industrial engineering: mechanical, electrical, electronic, and thermal systems.

This vision became reality on December 1, 2015, with the official establishment of the company under the name Ets Alpha Engineering.

A Journey of Perseverance and Growth

The early years were marked by the typical challenges faced by emerging enterprises. As two co-founders pursued careers within multinational corporations and another relocated abroad, Arsène Talla assumed full leadership of the company, driven by strong determination and long-term conviction.

Despite numerous obstacles, his commitment never wavered. This perseverance led to a decisive breakthrough in 2017, marking the true beginning of Alpha Engineering’s expansion. The company’s technical expertise quickly earned the confidence of major institutions:

• 2017: Installation of 20 air-conditioning systems for the Douala Air Force

• 2018: Execution of a large-scale project involving the installation of 100 air-conditioning units at the Nomayos Customs Training Center

In 2022, Alpha Engineering reached a strategic turning point. To support its rapid growth and strengthen its market positioning, the company adopted a new legal structure, becoming Ste Alpha Engineering SARL.

That same year, the company achieved a historic milestone by securing exclusive representation of B Medical Systems, a global leader in medical refrigeration and a strategic partner of the World Health Organization (WHO). This partnership reflects Alpha Engineering’s recognized expertise in cold-chain solutions and medical infrastructure.

Today, Alpha Engineering goes beyond equipment installation—we design, implement, and maintain critical infrastructure that supports healthcare systems, industry, and economic development.

Our ambition is clear: to elevate refrigeration and air-conditioning standards in Central Africa and across the African continent, delivering reliable, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions that meet international benchmarks.
